Community Standards
Anxious Andy is a supportive online community where you can feel at home talking about your mental health and connect with others who may understand what you are going through. We know what it’s like to struggle, therefore, we have created a safe place to listen, share and be heard. Whether you’re feeling that you are in a good place mentally right now, or struggling, it’s a safe place to share experiences and listen to others and know that you are not alone. The community is available to everyone 24/7.
We provide a welcoming place for people to make connections, learn from each other and feel inspired to take positive steps towards good mental health. The Anxious Andy community is not a crisis service and we ask all members to use the community safely and responsibly and reach out to professionals off site, should you need medical advice or any other form of support. You can visit www.AnxiousAndy.co.uk for useful information.
Community Guidelines
Self Harm
It’s ok to share thoughts and feelings around self-harm (e.g. “I feel like selfharming because..”), however please avoid sharing graphic descriptions or details about self-harm methods (such as where or how you’ve harmed yourself)
We are not a crisis service. It’s ok to say you’re feeling suicidal or having suicidal thoughts, but please avoid posting anything that will cause others to worry about your safety.
If you feel that you cannot keep yourself safe and need more urgent help, we’d encourage you to reach out to Samaritans, Shout, your local crisis team or call 999.
Remember you are not wasting anyone’s time. You matter!
Sexual assault, violence and abuse
It’s ok to share and seek support for what you’re going through. To keep the community safe, we will hide posts or comments which contain detailed descriptions of sexual assault, violence or abuse.
We ask everyone to use one account per person. If you have trouble accessing your account, please get in touch with the team at primementalhealth1@gmail.com and we will happily help you back into your account.
Please keep swearing to a minimum. Some words will be hidden to protect other members.
We ask everyone to respect each others opinion even though it may be different from your own.
Please don’t post about other members on the wall.
If you’re worried about someone or have concerns about a member, please don’t post about them on the main feed or in groups even if you don’t mention their name. Instead, please send a PM to the admins to talk this through. Admins can be identified through a green check mark next to their name. Alternatively scroll down the feed to the bottom of the page, where you can find the verified admins.
Thank you, and welcome to the community.
